Amphibian and Reptile Information Top Sites
If you've been surfing around web recently you have probably seen the icons on many pages. Many sites have these and they rank the site by how much traffic the site gets. The top rated sites don't necessary guarantee great content but if they are getting as many visitors as they do to rank at the top of the lists the odds are pretty good that they have some useful information on them.
Reptile Top Sites (http://www.reptiletopsites.com/) ranks the top 300 sites in many categories. In addition to the General Herpetology category that our web site participates in they also offer listings for snakes, lizards, geckos, monitors, turtles, and spiders.
The Reptile Top 50 (http://reptiletop50.com/) lists the 50 most visited reptile related sites. You can also categorize the search to list different categories (like just clubs) and also other countries. In addition to the rankings they also offer chat rooms and forums.
Super Top 100 maintains lists on several different topics including one on general animals (http://www.supertop100.com/animal) and also on pets (http://www.supertop100.com/pet).
Top Site Lists lets people create and maintain their own lists that people vote on. One of these (http://www.topsitelists.com/start/sisivert/topsites.html) is dedicated to Reptiles.
All of these sites can help you when you are out there just surfing the web. By visiting some of the top ranked sites you can often find some great information and links to other web sites as well.
